Haaqam Thapar assumes charge as Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations Jalandhar

Vows to strengthen public awareness on Punjab Government’s welfare initiatives

Jalandhar News: District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) Haaqam Thapar formally took charge as Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations Department, Jalandhar, following his promotion to the post.

He assumed office in the presence of Joint Director Manvinder Singh, who congratulated him and expressed confidence that Mr. Thapar will continue his committed efforts to ensure wide outreach of the Punjab Government’s pro-people policies and programs.

A 2011 batch officer, Mr. Thapar has a more than decade-long experience in public relations department, having served in several districts including Patiala, Bathinda, Hoshiarpur, Mansa, and Jalandhar as DPRO. He was currently serving as DPRO Jalandhar before being elevated to the new role.

Expressing gratitude to the Punjab Government and the Information and Public Relations Department, Mr. Thapar said he is honoured by the trust placed in him and committed to further intensifying efforts to inform the public about welfare initiatives at the grassroots level.

He reiterated his resolve to continue effective communication between the government and citizens to strengthen public engagement and awareness across the region.
