‘Harsimrat Kaur will forfeit her security deposit in elections’, says Bhagwant Mann
Chandigarh: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday said that the voters of Bathinda are prepared to forfeit the security deposit of Akali Dal candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal, the last remaining member of the Badal family who has yet to lose.
Mann said that the people of Malwa would once again impart a lesson to the conservative parties, who seek votes solely for their family and the interests of Punjab.
Addressing an election rally in Sunam on Monday in support of AAP candidate Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the Akali Dal had been eradicated from Punjab’s political landscape.
He criticized the Congress for fielding an outsider leader and rebuked Sukhpal Singh Khaira, noting his failure to discern the appropriate time to leave his party and join a new one.
The Chief Minister pledged to supply canal water to 70 percent of Punjab’s farms, thereby conserving electricity and promptly fulfilling the promise of providing one thousand rupees to women.
Additionally, the Punjab government has generated revenue by selling electricity worth Rs 250 crore to other states, while education and healthcare provisions have seen significant improvements.
