High court issues notice to Congress leader Kulbir Singh Zira over false bail information
Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued a notice to Congress leader Kulbir Singh Zira, following allegations that he provided false information while seeking bail. The notice was in response to a petition filed by Gurnam Singh, who is involved in a property dispute with the MLA.
According to the complaint, Zira misrepresented facts before the court, claiming that there were no other FIRs against him apart from the ongoing case.
However, the complainant revealed that three additional FIRs had been lodged against Zira. Of these, two have been cancelled by the police, while one remains under investigation.
The petitioner accused Zira of deliberately concealing this information while seeking bail, prompting a demand for legal action. The High Court has now asked Zira to respond to these allegations by November 12.
