Historic occasion for Gurdaspur and Pathankot’, residents thank Punjab government for launching spree of development projects worth Rs 1854 crores
Gurdaspur:;Thanking the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for ushering a new era of development in Punjab, the residents of border districts termed today’s Vikas Kranti Rally a historic event for the Lok Sabha constituency of Gurdaspur.
Dilbagh Singh of Gurdaspur expressed his gratitude to the Punjab government for launching various projects worth Rs 1854 crores at Gurdaspur today. He said that the visionary Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal took significant steps towards the progress of the state.
Terming today a historic day for the Lok Sabha constituency of Gurdaspur, Lubhaya Masih from Gurdaspur said that the way spree of development projects worth crores have commenced, the Punjab government is ushering a new and progressive era for the region.
Appreciating the Punjab government for addressing long pending demands, Maan Singh from Gurdaspur said that constructing a new bus stop in Gurdaspur was need of the hour and it would ease the traffic woes of people and help people to easily get the transportation.
Surinder Singh praised the initiative of establishing a new bus stand in honor of the great warrior Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, emphasizing the deep connection Baba Ji had with the land of Gurdaspur. He thanked the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for this gift to people.
Prem Masih from Saraye Pur said that the increase in the capacity of cooperative sugar mills in Paniar and Batala will significantly benefit the farmers of the Majha region. This enhancement will prompt farmers to shift away from the wheat-paddy cropping cycle and engage in cultivating sugarcane. He said that the contribution of both these mills will definitely play a vital role in bolstering the economic well-being of the farmers.
Stating that Punjab government’s decision to construct a new underbridge on Tibbri Road and a new bus stand near the bypass has solved the city’s traffic problem, Raj Kumar said that there used to be huge traffic problem in Gurdaspur city and people harried a lot on daily basis still no one paid any heed. But the Bhagwant Mann government has given this a big gift to the residents of Gurdaspur.
Rinku from Mujrajpur said that Punjab government has prepared a new tehsil complex at Dinanagar at a cost of Rs 6.60 crore in which all the tehsil level offices will serve the people under one roof. Along with this, a new office of sub-tehsil has also been built at Dinanagar at a cost of Rs 2.36 crore. We thank the Punjab government for these development projects, which will have a transformative impact of the development revolution on Gurdaspur, bringing the district to new heights.
Nirmal Singh from Hiran mentioned that, being a border district, Gurdaspur has lagged far behind in terms of development. However, thanks to the development revolution initiated by the Punjab Government, our district is now set to reach new heights. The launch of a development project worth Rs 1854 crore in Gurdaspur today marks the beginning of a new chapter in the district’s development.
Thanking the Punjab government for the inclusive development in Gurdaspur and Punjab, Nirmal Singh from Hiran village Gurdaspur, said that the numerous gifts were given to the people of the segment during the ‘Vikas Kranti Rally’ and the government has ushered a new era of progress and clean governance.
