House meeting of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation today, ruckus likely
Chandigarh News: The 326th General House meeting of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation will be held today. Many issues of the city are to be discussed in this. This meeting is expected to be stormy.
The Aam Aadmi Party will protest on the issues passed in the General House meeting on July 25. It had boycotted the House meeting after nine Aam Aadmi Party councillors were suspended during a meeting on July 25.
According to the copy of the agenda sent by the Municipal Corporation to the councillors, this time only 4 agendas are being brought in the House meeting.
The first of these agendas is to ratify the resolutions passed in the 325th meeting. The second issue is the renovating of five toilet blocks in Sector 22. The third issue is the two chain dossiers in the dumping ground. The fourth issue is to extend the contract of 926 people collecting garbage from homes, sources said.
