‘I was framed by governments, says Jagdish Bhola’; seeks CBI inquiry into the case
Chandigarh: Balshinder Singh, the father of dismissed Punjab Police DSP Jagdish Bhola, who was jailed in connection with a multi-crore drug smuggling case, has passed away. Jagdish Bhola attended his father’s funeral today in Raike village of Bathinda. During a conversation with the media, he questioned the government’s actions.
He claimed that he had been falsely implicated in drug trafficking cases and that political motivations were involved.
He demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter, stating, “If I am guilty, I should be hanged.” He also mentioned that no cases have been filed against him while in jail. However, he has now been transferred from Kapurthala to Bathinda jail, where hardcore drug offenders are held.
He reiterated his belief that he has been falsely implicated and called for a CBI inquiry, stressing that if he is guilty, he deserves the harshest punishment. Despite these claims, no charges have been brought against him while incarcerated, though he has been moved to Bathinda jail, which houses serious offenders.
