India bans six pro-Khalistan YouTube channels

New Delhi: The central government has banned six YouTube channels promoting Khalistan. Information and Broadcasting Secretary Apoorva Chandra said six channels run by foreign countries have been banned.

Chandra said attempts were being made to create disturbance in the border state through these channels.
It may be recalled that the government’s action came in the wake of radical preacher and pro-Khalistani activist Amritpal Singh, along with his associates, storming the Ajnala police station with weapons to secure the release of his associate.
