Chandigarh: Jagtar Singh Tara, accused of killing former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, has been released from jail on parole. Tara will attend his niece’s wedding today.
Tara has been granted parole from 11 am to 1 pm by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Earlier, Tara’s brother died in April, but Tara did not get bail then. Now the High Court has granted parole for the marriage of the niece.
