Jalandhar Commissionerate Police cracks infamous extortion case

Jalandhar: In a significant breakthrough, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police have successfully cracked an infamous extortion case, leading to the arrest of three individuals linked to the notorious Landa Group.

The police revealed that the handlers of the extortion network were operating from abroad, orchestrating criminal activities remotely. The arrested trio is believed to have been involved in 35 criminal cases, including extortion, threatening, and other serious offenses.

In a stern measure to curb such activities, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) has been invoked against all three arrested individuals. The authorities are continuing their investigation to dismantle the entire network and bring other perpetrators to justice.

The Commissionerate has assured the public that such actions will be met with the full force of the law, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining peace and order in the region.
