Joint operation busts drug smuggling network in Pathankot

Chandigarh: In a significant operation against trans-border smuggling, Counter Intelligence, Pathankot, along with Gurdaspur Police, arrested one individual and seized 1.350 kg of heroin.

The arrested suspect was reportedly in contact with Pakistan-based operatives using drones to smuggle drugs into India. Authorities have indicated that further arrests are expected as the investigation progresses.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed, and ongoing efforts are uncovering both forward and backward linkages in the network. Punjab Police remains committed to cracking down on smuggling operations across the region.
