Judicial custody of former minister Ashu extended by 14 days
Chandigarh: The judicial custody of senior Congress leader and former minister India Bhushan Ashu from Ludhiana has been extended by 14 days. The next hearing in his case will be on September 5.
Ashu was arrested by the ED team on August 1. After the end of his 10-day remand, he was in judicial custody for 14 days. He was produced in court again today.
Pertinently, Ashu reached the ED office on the morning of August 1. He was being questioned continuously at the Jalandhar ED office till evening, after which he was arrested. Ashu was arrested while taking action under the Money Laundering Act.
