Kangana Ranaut sparks controversy with remarks targeting Punjab youth over drugs
New Delhi: Bollywood actress and Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut has once again sparked controversy with her remarks. During an event in her parliamentary constituency on Gandhi Jayanti, Kangana indirectly targeted Punjab without mentioning its name.
She commented that new negative influences, like drugs, are coming from a neighboring state and are destroying the youth. Kangana urged the people of Himachal Pradesh not to learn from these influences, be it drugs or aggression.
She asked the audience if they knew which state she was referring to, and later criticized the disruptive behavior and drug use she claimed was affecting her state.
Kangana said that preserving the rural culture and values of Himachal Pradesh, urging people to maintain not just external cleanliness, but also cleanliness in behavior and character.
She further contrasted Himachal with states like West Bengal, stating that Himachal is a place where women are safe, even if they stop a car at night, unlike other places where they face greater risks.
Kangana has made critical remarks about Punjab and its farmers in the past, leading to repeated opposition from the people of Punjab.
