Kejriwal holds roadshow in Ludhiana, says ‘whose government, its MLA’; takes swipe at PM Modi

Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Sanjeev Arora on Friday filed his nomination papers for the upcoming by-election to the Ludhiana West Assembly constituency in Punjab. Ahead of the nomination, AAP held a roadshow in Ludhiana led by party supremo Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, and former Delhi minister Atishi.
The roadshow began from Aarti Chowk, passed through Bhai Bala Chowk, and concluded near the mini secretariat. A large number of party workers and local residents participated in the event. However, Kejriwal and Mann were not present when Arora formally submitted his nomination.
Addressing the gathering, Arvind Kejriwal said, “In 2022, the people of Punjab supported us overwhelmingly. We won 92 out of 117 seats, something no party had achieved before in the state. You voted for Gogi ji against the arrogance of the previous MLA, Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu. Unfortunately, Gogi ji is no longer with us due to an accident.”
Kejriwal added, “If he (Ashu) is abusing us now, he will continue to do so. Elect someone from your own government to ensure your work gets done. If you want arrogance, vote for him. If you want work, vote for Sanjeev Arora.”
The Ludhiana West by-election was necessitated following the untimely death of sitting AAP MLA Gogi.
