Khattar sworn in as Minister of Housing and Urban Development and Power, Ravneet Bittu as Railway minister
Chandigarh: In the Modi 3.0 cabinet, the portfolios have been distributed to the ministers. Manohar Lal Khattar, who has been appointed as a cabinet minister from Haryana, is now the Minister of Housing and Urban Development and Power.
Khattar, the MP from Karnal, has served as the Chief Minister of Haryana twice.
Rao Inderjit, the Minister of State from Haryana, has been given independent charge of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Planning.
Rao will also serve as a Minister of State in the Ministry of Culture alongside Cabinet Minister Gajendra Shekhawat.
Minister of State Krishan Pal Gurjar has been reassigned as Minister of State in the Ministry of Cooperation. He will work in this department with Cabinet Minister Amit Shah.
Ravneet Bittu, a Minister of State from Punjab, has been reassigned as Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries.
In Railways, he will work with Cabinet Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and in Food Processing, he will collaborate with Cabinet Minister Chirag Paswan.
Notably, when Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal was a minister at the Center, she was in charge of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
J. P. Nadda, the sole minister from Himachal Pradesh, has been assigned the portfolios of Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers.
