Lok Sabha polls 2024: FIR registered against 4 persons in village Wadala incident

Jalandhar: The Adampur police have registered a case in an incident near the polling booth at village Wadala in the Adampur assembly constituency falls under the Jalandhar parliamentary constituency.

Deputy commissioner cum DEO Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal said that as a fight happened between some persons near the polling booth at Wadala , security forces immediately stopped them . He also said that after the statements recorded by Jalandhar rural police and preliminary investigation, an FIR has been lodged at Adampur police station on the complaint filed by Tajinder Singh against the Bhupinder Singh S/O Ranjit Singh , Harjinder Singh s/o Ranjit Singh , Ranjit Singh s/o Darshan Singh all resident of village Wadala and Jaswant Ram s/o Hajara Ram , resident of village Mansoorpur.

They were booked under section 323, 341, 506 and 34 of IPC.

DC further said that the incident didn’t affect the voting process as it runs smoothly.
