Ludhiana court orders death penalty for woman who buried child alive
Chandigarh: Neelam, the killer who buried a two-and-a-half-year-old girl alive in Ludhiana, Punjab, has been given capital punishment.
The quantum of punishment has been pronounced today in the court of Sessions Judge Munish Singhal. After the completion of the hearing 2 days ago, the court reserved its decision. She was convicted by the court on Friday.
Neelam has been convicted of killing her neighbour Harpreet Singh’s two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Dilroz Kaur.
On November 28, 2021, the convict Neelam kidnapped the girl Dilroz from Shimlapuri area on a scooty and buried her alive by digging a pit in Salem Tabri area.
