The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University organises 7 Day NSS Camp

Patiala News: The Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Punjab Sports University organised a successful 7 Day NSS Camp under the guidance of University Registrar Dr. Anubhav Walia . The camp piloted under the dynamic leadership of NSS Coordinator Dr. Sunman Kaur and Program Officer Dr. Harjot Kaur.

From February 1st to 7th, the dedicated NSS volunteers and staff members embarked on an inspiring journey to several villages, including Seona, Lachkani, Allowal, Rorewal Sahib, Sidhuwal, and Lang located on the outskirts of Patiala.

The camp focused on a variety of impactful activities aimed at raising awareness and making a difference in the community. Highlights included:
Nukad Nataks-addressing critical issues such as drug de-addiction, the hazards of single-use plastics, and the importance of literacy.
Cleanliness Campaigns to promote hygiene and health within the villages.
Sports Orientation sessions in senior Secondary Schools that encouraged an active lifestyle. Career Counselling at Senior Secondary Schools which aimed at guiding young minds towards their future.
Visits to the “Apna Farz Sewa Society” to understand community service better.
Community service initiatives at local Gurudwaras and rallies on drug de-addiction to raise awareness.
Engaging cultural activities and an environmental campaign at “Round Glass Foundation “that promoted sustainability.

This camp would not have been possible without the collective effort of everyone involved. A heartfelt gratitude to all the staff members of the university, enthusiastic NSS volunteers and local bodies of villages and their school bodies who came together as a team to made this initiative a resounding success. Together, we are fostering a sense of responsibility and community service among our students.
