Major reshuffle in Punjab Police, 21 officers transferred

Chandigarh: Punjab Police has undergone a major reshuffle with the transfer of 21 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, including senior superintendents of police (SSPs) in nine districts.

Jalandhar Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Ferozepur range. Several IPS officers have been assigned SSP posts for the first time.

 

Among the new appointments, Gurmeet Singh Chauhan has been made SSP Ferozepur, Akhil Chaudhary SSP Muktsar Sahib, Sandeep Kumar Malik SSP Hoshiarpur, Ankur Gupta SSP Ludhiana, Shubham Agarwal SSP Fatehgarh Sahib, Aditya SSP Gurdaspur, Maninder Singh SSP Rural Amritsar, Mohammad Sarfaraz Alam SSP Barnala, and Jyoti Yadav SSP Khanna.
