Man murdered with sharp weapon in Bathinda

Chandigarh: A young man was brutally murdered with a sharp-edged weapon in Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, Punjab.

The victim, identified as Malkit Singh, a resident of Bagher Charat Singh, was first attacked in Sidhu Colony near Guru Gobind Singh Refinery. His body was later discarded in the street.

The incident came to light when the colony owner discovered the body, which had a rope tied to the feet.

Authorities were informed, and Ram Mandi police arrived at the scene, sending the body to Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Under the leadership of DSP Rajesh Snehi, police launched an investigation and claimed to have solved the case within hours.

The suspected accused have been identified, though the motive remains unclear. Police also reported that the suspects attempted to mislead the investigation.
