Maninderjit Singh Bedi appointed Punjab advocate general
Chandigarh: The Punjab government has appointed Maninderjit Singh Bedi as the new advocate general after Gurminder Singh Garry resigned from the post earlier in the day.
The Department of Justice issued a notification confirming Bedi’s appointment. He previously served as an additional advocate general.
Bedi, a native of Rampura Phul, is the son of the late advocate Inderjit Singh Bedi and comes from a family of lawyers. He began his legal career in 2004-05 and has been practicing in the High Court since 2015-16.
