Mann government’s zero tolerance against corruption
Punjab E News: Since taking office in March 2022, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has implemented strict measures to combat corruption.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government launched an anti-corruption helpline to promote transparency. Citizens can report corrupt officials via the WhatsApp number 9501-200-200 or the toll-free number 1800-1800-1000.
If any official demands more than the official fee, people are encouraged to record audio or video evidence and submit it through the helpline. The Punjab government frequently urges residents to report corruption without fear, aiming to realize the vision of a corruption-free Punjab.
So far, 702 arrests have been made as part of this campaign. The government’s vigilance bureau plays a crucial role in curbing corrupt practices.
Similarly, seminars and workshops are being organized across the state to raise awareness about the anti-corruption efforts. The government’s mission to eliminate corruption will continue to be enforced strongly.
