After the Punjab government suspended three warders, including two assistant superintendents, in connection with the case, a case was registered against assistant superintendents Bhivam Tej Singla and Kuljit Singh, pharmacy officer Sandeep Singh, under trial Amarjit Singh and inmate Ankur Mehta at Police Station Sadar on charges of supplying drugs. The jail superintendent has been suspended by the DIG of the jail department.
Meanwhile, Iqbal Singh Brar, Deputy Superintendent of Jail has been posted as Superintendent of Jail.
