Migrant man attacks SGPC employees, devotees at Sri Harmandir Sahib complex

Amritsar: A migrant man attacked two SGPC employees and two devotees with an iron rod at Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji Saran in the Sri Harmandir Sahib complex, police said on Sunday. The injured were admitted to Guru Ramdas Hospital for treatment. The attacker was arrested and handed over to the police.

According to SGPC officials, the employees at Sri Guru Ramdas Saran confronted the man over suspicious behavior and asked him to leave.

During the argument, he attacked them with an iron rod. Two SGPC employees, identified as sewadars Gagandeep Singh and Jasbir Singh, sustained serious injuries. Two devotees who tried to intervene were also injured.

Police identified the attacker as a resident of Haryana. An investigation into the matter is underway.
