Mohali Court rejects former Minister Sunder Sham Arora’s bail plea
Chandigarh: Former Punjab minister Sunder Sham Arora has received a major setback from the Mohali court. In fact, the Mohali court has rejected the regular bail plea of Sundar Sham Arora.
Arora had filed a bail plea in the plot scam through his lawyer. Vigilance had registered a case against a total of 10 government officials and employees, including the former minister.
During the hearing, Arora’s counsel argued that the interrogation has been done and there is no more recovery to be made, so his client should be granted bail.
At the same time, vigilance argued that the accused has been a powerful minister. He knows the legal stakes. If granted bail, he can influence witnesses and the case. The court rejected the bail plea after hearing the arguments.
