Mohali cricket stadium did not meet ICC standards: BCCI
Punjab E News: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajiv Shukla said that many centres and zones have been included in the schedule of the recently released ICC Cricket World Cup but the reason why the stadium in Mohali, Punjab, does not get a single match is that the stadium does not meet the ICC standards.
Shukla’s statement came a day after Punjab Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Hayer objected to Mohali being excluded from the World Cup programme.
The minister had alleged that Punjab did not get the match due to “political interference”.
