Multistory building collapses in Ludhiana, several feared trapped

Ludhiana: A multistory building collapsed in Ludhiana, Punjab, on Saturday evening, triggering panic in the area. Witnesses reported hearing an explosion-like sound as the structure gave way.

According to sources, four to five people are feared trapped under the debris, and rescue operations are underway.

Police and emergency teams are at the site conducting evacuation efforts.

“Rescue work is currently ongoing. It is estimated that four to five people are trapped under the building. The collapse occurred in Phase 8,” said SHO Amandeep Singh Brar.
