NHAI moves HC seeking resumption of toll plazas in Punjab
Chandigarh: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court claiming that they have suffered an estimated loss of Rs 113.21 crore due to the forcible occupation of toll plazas in Punjab and stopping the collection of fees.
It has sought the court’s intervention and direction to restart the toll plazas located in the state.

The petition also said that under the garb of protests, some anti-social elements are extorting money from the employees posted at the toll plazas. All these facts have been brought to the notice of the district administration and police officials but no action has been taken so far.
