NIA warns of potential attacks on Punjabi artists, security tightened for AP Dhillon’s show
Chandigarh: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued a security alert regarding possible attacks on Punjabi artists, prompting increased security measures for Punjabi singer and rapper AP Dhillon’s upcoming show in Chandigarh.
The event, scheduled for Saturday at the Sector 25 rally ground, will see the deployment of 2,000 security personnel. Following the NIA’s input, the Punjab Police shared the warning with the Chandigarh Police, leading to enhanced precautions.
Security arrangements for the show mirror those of a recent program by Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh. A parking lot has been designated three to four kilometers from the venue, with attendees required to use a shuttle bus service to reach the site.
Authorities are ensuring strict monitoring to prevent any suspicious activity at the event.
