No ‘Patiala Peg’: Diljit Dosanjh gets advisory ahead of his Chandigarh show

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Commission for the Protection of Child Rights has issued a warning to Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, urging him to refrain from performing songs that promote alcohol and violence.

The directive comes ahead of his scheduled concert in Sector 34, Chandigarh, on December 14.

The commission’s chairperson, Shipra Bansal, said that several complaints were received alleging that songs like Patiala Peg have a detrimental impact on children, encouraging the use of alcohol.

The commission has specifically asked Diljit not to perform Patiala Peg, Panj Tara, and Case during the event. Additionally, he has been advised against inviting children on stage.
