NRI arrested at Amritsar airport for carrying 15 live bullets
Chandigarh: An NRI was arrested at Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport in Amritsar, Punjab, while he was going to the US.
This NRI had come to his village Gurdaspur and was here for a long time. When his baggage was checked before the flight, CISF personnel recovered 15, 9mm bullets from the bag of the accused.
According to information given by CISF Sub Inspector KS Victor at Amritsar Airport Police Station, the accused has been identified as Amardeep Singh, a resident of New Jersey.
Amardeep Singh was about to catch a flight from Amritsar Airport to go to America. According to the complaint, ASI Baljit Singh was on checking at the airport yesterday. Passengers of the flight to America were being investigated.
