‘Objectionable’ documents and equipment found during raids on Congress leaders Dharamsot, Gilzian: ED
Punjab: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized “objectionable” documents, mobile phones and other electronic devices during raids at the premises of two former Punjab forest ministers and Congress leaders Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and Sangat Singh Gilzian and others in connection with a money laundering case related to the forest department scam.
The federal probe agency said in a statement that its investigation relates to taking bribes for granting permission for felling of trees in the state’s forest department and for transfers and postings in the department, and some other charges.
The ED said that on November 30, searches were conducted at the residential premises of Dharamsot, Gilzian, their associates, forest department officials and some other persons located in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
