Paddy damaged in Punjab due to rain and thunderstorm
Bathinda News: In many places of Punjab, the rain and thunderstorm last night has caused heavy damage to the paddy crop. The heavy rain the basmati crop standing in the fields has been scattered.
Ranjit Singh Rana Sandhu, a farmer and former deputy director horticulture of Bhittewad village, said that the rain and darkness were so intense that many trees were uprooted.
Basmati 1121 and other varieties have been damaged. This time, due to the good paddy crop, the plants were heavy, which fell on the ground due to the wind.
