Panchayat fund scam: Former Congress MLA Madanlal Jalalpura not get any relief from the High Court

Chandigarh: Former Congress MLA Madanlal Jalalpura, who is embroiled in a corruption case, is yet to get any relief from the High Court. The high court has adjourned the hearing on anticipatory bail till tomorrow.

Former Congress MLA Madanlal Jalalpur is embroiled in a panchayat land scam in five villages of Shambhu block of Patiala.
During the hearing, the Punjab government has submitted a status report to the High Court regarding the investigation of the case.
Further, when Jalalpur’s counsel sought time to file his reply on the status report, the high court adjourned the hearing till tomorrow. In this case, the Vigilance had registered an FIR under the PC Act in May last year.
