Panjab University students’ union elections today; Voting starts at 9:30 am
Punjab News: Student union elections will be held today in 10 colleges of the city, including Panjab University. The voting process for the students’ union elections will begin at 9:30 am. After this, the counting of votes will start from 12 noon. After this, the results of the election campaign will start coming. The counting of votes will take place at the gymnasium hall.
The main contest is said to be between Yuvraj Garg of SOI and Divyang Thakur of CYSS.
As many as 179 booths have been set up in 69 departments for voting. There is a competition between 9 candidates for the election of president.
Around 15,693 students of the university will cast their votes. Apart from this, about 43705 students will exercise their right to vote in 10 colleges. As many as 110 candidates are in the fray in 10 colleges in the city. While 21 candidates are in the fray for four posts in Panjab University.
