Punjab News: Members of the Unemployed Apprenticeship Struggle Linemen’s Union Punjab today climbed atop an electric tower near Shakti Vihar in Patiala to press for their demands.
Many of their colleagues are staging a sit-in under the tower. On this occasion, they raised slogans against the Punjab government and the Powercom management.
In the past, they had staged a sit-in in front of the Powercom headquarters on Mall Road, but were chased away by the police by lathi-charging them.
