PCMSA doctors to go on indefinite strike from September 9
Chandigarh: Doctors of the Punjab Civil Medical Services Association have announced an indefinite strike from September 9, which is likely to affect medical services in the state in a big way. It is worth mentioning that due to the long-pending demands, the doctors have announced to go on strike.
The doctors are also distributing a pamphlet of their demands during the strike along with OPD slips to the patients to inform them about the strike in advance.
PCMSA state president Akhil Sarin said the doctors are prescribing medicines for at least two to three weeks to all OPD patients attending on September 6 and 7 to help in successfully suspending services in all government hospitals in the state for an indefinite period.
The demands of the doctors include promotions, arrears of the Sixth Pay Commission and safety issues at the workplace along with other demands.
