Petition filed in connection with those arrested under Operation Amritpal, hearing tomorrow

Chandigarh: Petitions were filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court against the arrest of Amritpal Singh’s associate Bhagwant Singh alias Pradhan Mantri Bajeke and five others. Due to which the High Court is now going to hear all these petitions from tomorrow.

Under Operation Amritpal, his associate Bhagwant Singh alias Prime Minister Bajeke along with Basant Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Kulwant Singh Raike, Varinder Fauji and Karnail Singh Panjoli were arrested.
The high court will hear the plea tomorrow morning. The relatives of all of them have filed a petition in the High Court, calling their arrest illegal and seeking quashing of the NSA imposed on them. It has also sought permission to meet their families.
