President Droupadi Murmu to Punjab, drone flying banned in area

Chandigarh: President Droupadi Murmu will visit the Indian School of Business (ISB) in Mohali on March 11 as part of her three-day tour of Haryana, Chandigarh, and Punjab from March 10 to 12. She is scheduled to participate in multiple events during her visit.

Ahead of her arrival, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar District Magistrate Komal Mittal has imposed restrictions on drone flying within a 5-km radius of the International Airport and ISB Mohali under the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.

The area has been declared a no-flying zone, and the ban applies to all unmanned aerial vehicles except those authorized by the Department of Aviation or Defence.

The order will be enforced on March 11, and the Senior Superintendent of Police, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, has been directed to ensure compliance.
