Private buses to remain off roads on December 30 in support of Dallewal’s protest
Chandigarh: The District Private Bus Operators Union has announced that private buses will not operate on December 30 in solidarity with the Punjab bandh called by private bus transporters in Mansa.
The bandh is in support of Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on a fast unto death.
Amarjit Singh, the district president of the union, confirmed the decision after a meeting where it was unanimously agreed to halt all bus services on that day.
The protest aims to draw attention to Dallewal’s demands, which have sparked widespread support among various unions across Punjab.
