Chandigarh: Punjab Additional Chief Secretary and Finance Commissioner Revenue (FCR) Anurag Verma conducted a surprise inspection at the Ludhiana East Tehsil premises on Monday to review public service delivery.

During his visit, Verma inspected the sub-registrar’s office, checked the functioning of CCTV cameras, and reviewed ongoing registry procedures.

He emphasized the Punjab government’s commitment to providing door-to-door services transparently and effectively.

Verma examined registry records and directed officials to ensure that buyers’ and sellers’ mobile numbers are mentioned on registry documents.

He also inquired about the government fees charged by sub-registrar employees and urged officials to maintain cleanliness in the campus toilets.

Speaking to applicants with scheduled appointments, Verma sought feedback on their experience at the registrar’s office and invited suggestions for improvement.

He clarified that the inspection was not meant to find faults but to streamline government office operations.

During the visit, Verma handed over land registration documents to an applicant. Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal accompanied him during the inspection.
