Punjab assembly session resumes after paying tributes to late leaders and freedom fighters
Chandigarh: The Punjab Assembly session resumed today but was adjourned until 12:30 p.m. after paying tributes to late political, religious, and social figures.
Among those honored were former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, former ministers Dharam Pal Sabharwal and Ajaib Singh Mukhmailpura, and ex-Rajya Sabha members Harvinder Singh Hanspal and Joginder Pal Jain.
Tributes were also paid to former MLAs Sukhwinder Singh Buttar and Bhag Singh, as well as freedom fighters Karnail Singh, Kikar Singh, and Kehar Singh.
Ludhiana MLA Gurpreet Bassi (Gogi) was among those who paid respects at the start of the two-day session.
