Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann meets Governor amid budget session

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met Governor Gulab Chand Kataria at Raj Bhavan on March 24. The meeting lasted about 40 minutes, but the CM did not speak to the media afterward.

The meeting took place in the middle of the budget session, which began on Friday. On the same day, the Governor had invited the Chief Minister.

While there was speculation about a possible cabinet reshuffle, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) clarified that no such plan was in place.

It is expected that the discussion included the ongoing anti-drug campaign in the state, as the Governor has been visiting border areas frequently.
