Punjab Congress chief’s wife Amrita Warring apologies for likening poll symbol to Guru Nanak’s hand
Chandigarh: Amrita Warring, wife of Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, has apologised for her controversial remarks.
“If anyone’s sentiments have been hurt by the statement made knowingly or unknowingly, I apologise for that,” she said. I had no such intentions.”
Earlier, SGPC condemned his statement and sought an apology from her.
At the same time, there was also a complaint in the Election Commission about this statement. A complaint has been made by the Shiromani Akali Dal in this matter and it has been said that action should be taken against her.
Amrita Warring had likened the Congress party’s symbol to that of the first Sikh Guru Guru Nanak’s ‘panja’ (hand) during an election event.
