Punjab Congress to hold protest in Chandigarh today against centre government
Chandigarh: The Punjab Congress will hold a protest in Chandigarh today, with the entire state leadership participating. This protest is directed against the central government, and demands will be made for the removal of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) chief from his position, as well as for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) inquiry into the matter.
The protest, scheduled for 10:30 a.m., will be led by Congress president and Ludhiana MP, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring.
The protest will begin outside Congress Bhawan in Chandigarh, where leaders from all districts, including current and former MLAs, former ministers, MPs, and supporters, will gather.
From there, they will proceed towards the SEBI office in Sector 17. However, the police have made strong security arrangements in the area.
