Punjab government decided to start paddy transplantation in two phases from June 11 and 15

Chandigarh: The Punjab government has decided to conduct paddy transplantation in the state in two phases and announced that it will start from June 11 and 15.

It has been decided to start direct sowing of paddy in the entire state from May 15.

According to a notification issued by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of Punjab by Special Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha today, paddy has been allowed to be planted in Sri Muktsar Sahib, Faridkot, Mansa, Fazilka, Bathinda, Ferozepur and the area beyond the Kandiali wire along the international border from June 11, while Moga, Sangrur, Barnala, Malerkotla, Patiala.

To plant paddy in Fatehgarh Sahib, SAS Nagar, Rupnagar, Ludhiana, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts from June 15.

The information has been forwarded by the Special Chief Secretary, Government of Punjab to the Chief Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), Patiala, all the Deputy Commissioners of the State of Punjab, Director Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department and all the Chief Agriculture Officers of the State.
