Punjab government in action mode amid rising India-Pakistan tension; ministers to review emergency preparedness in border areas

Chandigarh: Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, the Punjab government has gone into action mode to ensure full preparedness across border districts.
As part of the emergency response plan, state ministers will inspect hospitals, fire stations, and review the availability of ration and other essential services.
Soon after a high-level cabinet meeting, ten ministers are set to visit various border regions to assess emergency services and coordinate local preparedness efforts.
Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak and Dr. Ravneet Singh will oversee the situation in Pathankot and Gurdaspur, while Ministers Kuldeep Dhaliwal and Mohinder Bhagat have been assigned to Amritsar. In Tarn Taran, Laljit Bhullar and Harbhajan Singh ETO will take charge of the review process.
Ferozepur will be inspected by Hardeep Mundian and Gurmeet Singh Khudian, while Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur and Tarunpreet Sondh will head to Fazilka.
The visits are aimed at ensuring all critical infrastructure and services are operational and ready to respond to any emergency amid the volatile border situation.
