Punjab government orders timely delivery of public services to curb corruption

Chandigarh: The AAP government in Punjab has directed officials to ensure the timely delivery of public services, aiming to protect citizens from corruption in government offices.

Punjab Chief Secretary KAP Sinha has issued a letter to all departments handling public services, instructing them to prevent delays in essential services.

He said prolonged pendency of applications promotes corruption, which “will not be tolerated at any cost.”

Sinha has asked departments to submit details of all pending cases to his office by 11 am on March 26. “Failure to do so will be presumed as an attempt by the concerned officers and secretaries to encourage corruption,” he warned.
