Punjab government replaces SIT chief in Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath attack case
Chandigarh: The Punjab government has replaced the head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the attack on Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath.
ADGP A S Rai has been appointed in place of ADGP SPS Parmar, who was posted as the chief director of the Vigilance Bureau on Thursday.
The other two SIT members, SSP Sandeep Malik and SP Manpreet Singh, will continue in their roles. This marks the fourth change in the investigation team.
Earlier, three teams were reconstituted following interventions by the High Court or objections from the victim’s family.
Twelve policemen have been booked for allegedly assaulting the Army colonel and his son.
