Punjab Government sets benchmark in providing citizen services at doorsteps: Balkar Singh

Kartarpur: Punjab Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh today said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led state government has set a benchmark in providing citizen services to the people at doorsteps under the ‘Aap Di Sarkar, Aap De Dwar’ initiative.

 
Taking stock of the civic services being provided at suvidha camps in village Chaugawan, Alampur Bakka, Kartarpur city, besides others, the Minister urged the people to take maximum benefit of these camps through their active participation.

He further said that the aim of this exclusive initiative of Punjab Government was to provide government services to the people of the state near their homes and under one roof as about 44 types of civic services are being provided to the people in these camps.
 
The Minister said that the Bhagwant Mann government has taken this initiative to facilitate people wherein the administration was providing the benefits of civic services to the people by reaching out to the villages/mohallas. 

He further said that the Punjab government has also started a helpline number 1076 to provide the benefit of these services to applicants at their homes.
 
Meanwhile, the Minister also listened to the problems faced by the people who visited the camps wherein he issued strict directions to the officials to solve the grievances raised by people. 

He further directed the officials to accord top priority to the applicants by imparting quality services to them during the camps.
 
The Minister further pointed out that people are getting benefit of citizen services at these camps including birth certificate, income certificate, scholarship, residence certificate, caste certificate, old age pension, payment of bills, verification of revenue department records, marriage registration, copy of death certificate, attestation of documents, Rural Area Certificate, Fard Creation, Common Caste Certificate, Shagun Scheme, Land Marking, Counter signature of certificates, counter signature of police clearance certificate, change in death certificate besides others.
