Punjab government stands with families of martyrs

Punjab E News: When it comes to honoring the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives at the borders, Punjab is often the first name that comes to mind.
  state’s courageous sons have laid down their lives in defense of their motherland, contributing immensely to the security and peace of the nation. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stands alongside the families of these martyrs, ensuring they receive all necessary support and care.
    The Punjab government is committed to providing comprehensive assistance to the families of martyrs. To support the families, the government has allocated Rs 1 crore to each martyr’s family, ensuring they have financial security.
   In addition, pensions for war widows have been increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000 per month. The government has also raised the assistance for Blue Star-affected veterans from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 per month, and the pensions for war widows from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 annually.
   Recognizing the sacrifice and ensuring the welfare of martyrs’ families, the Punjab government has earmarked Rs 74 crore for welfare services in the current fiscal year.
   Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann personally visits the families of martyrs, presenting them with the aid checks and emphasizing the importance of supporting those who have given so much for the nation.
   This comprehensive support aims to alleviate financial hardships faced by the families, ensuring they are not burdened by economic difficulties. Through these efforts, the Punjab government is truly honoring the memory and sacrifice of its brave sons
